Hiatus

Unfortunately I have had to put my blogging on hiatus. My computer is currently out of service. I have tons of pictures sitting on my phone waiting to be blogged from concerts to vacations to day to day activity. I haven't forgotten about what I started. I'm "Babysitting" at the moment. I love being here, I actually just tried a new nail polish color, that's a peachy cream color, I'm normally a dark polish kinda girl and this is very very chic. :)

Dads Day

Fathers day was so nice this year.

Every year we have a family get together

this year we had a BBQ at our house:)

This year I decided to make my dad something creative

I used inspiration from my upcoming vacation to Disney for the card

I thought what better movie then the Lion King

I used my water colors to create a scene from the movie

& inside I put lions of course

and a cheesy little quote to make mi padre smile :)

All in all id say its better then a hallmark

My sister took it upon herself to make nibbs a prop ...

to her Dr. Evil impersonation!!!!

My step moms best friend brought over her last German Shepard puppy!

I wish we could keep her she is a DOLL<3

& last but not least..

My great aunt Kay was here from St.Louis

&&& shes 93 and so full of life.

I can only hope to have been passed some of her genes.

days go by...

These past few days have seemed to pass so slow, yet they were over before I knew it, if that makes any sense at all. Keeping busy trying to count down the days until Boobala and I get to spend 10 days together. It has been too long, I'm good at keeping myself busy during the day, but when I get a minute to breathe and reality settles in I realize I'm alone until the next set of fast lived days we get to spend in each others arms, wishing we'd never have to be apart again. I just cant wait for the day when we can wake up in each others arms and know that we are home and that neither of us are going anywhere.

Any way on a somewhat brighter note, here is somethings Ive been doing to keep my mind busy....

This is Trev.

He is one of my favorite kids EVER.

I spend every Wednesday with him and his two adorable brothers.

They keep me on my toes with their witty sweet innocent ppersonalities!

I will be a very lucky women if I am ever blessed with children like these.

This Thursday I spent the morning with one of my best friends

Making Jewelry at her house with her mom and sister.

It was such a relaxing day

and a great chance to remind myself how much I love to be creative.

I made a turquoise necklace

I am so excited that I got to create something again.

It feels like I'm doing something right.

Yesterday morning started off lazy.

Nibbies is just like her mommy

all cute and snug and ready to sleep any time of any day.

Sweet as pie

Yesterday I took Nibbies to her first appointment at her new vet.

She did so good!!!

The vet told me shes perfectly healthy and she is exceptionally good

for a chihuahua.

She loves her bags

any chance she has to be in them

she will be

So for fathers day I love to make my dad desserts

Its fun for me and he loves eating them :)

This year I decided to make his favorite Banana Cream Pie

This recipe is from Paula Dean.

God love the food network!!

These are all the ingredients you need.

 

First line the tray with 1 bag of chessmen cookies

Slice 6 to 8 bananas

spread the bananas over the cookies and place in fridge so bananas don't brown

In a large bowl mix vanilla and banana cream pudding mix with 2 cups of milk

In a medium size bowl mix condensed milk and cream cheese

add in cool whip

Combine both mixtures together and spread over bananas

top with second box of chessmen cookies

and place in fridge until ready to serve :)

& this is how we ended our busy Tuesday

One step closer

The Pre School year has come to an end.

Its so nice to be able to work with a group of caring, talented, creative, women

Day to day stresses and tiff's here and there

but all and all its so comforting to know that we truly have become one big family

I cant believe my baby sister is graduating high school next Friday!!

She looked gorgeous at her prom.

We spent all day prepping, hair, make up, nails

I even made a last minute run to the shoe store:)

Pre-prom was a circus but I'm so glad I got to be there for her

to see her shine <3
